As summer vacation comes to an end and students begin returning to campus, WheaFarm transitions to a different kind of activity. The quiet summer management of the garden by Farm House residents will shift; WheaFarm will welcome back the campus community for more academic and experiential purposes.
The growing season thus far has been a significant growth period for WheaFarm, with significant physical reconstruction of the garden space, as well as a test run of community members coming in to garden in select plots. In the 2019 season, we hope to further open up WheaFarm to community members, and in so doing fully inaugurate WheaFarm as Wheaton's own community garden.
Growth like this wouldn't be possible without generous donations by community members like you. WheaFarm is quickly growing and becoming an active and well-respected landmark on Wheaton's campus. We, as managers of WheaFarm and members of the Wheaton community, thank you for supporting such a unique campus experience.
